What to Expect at Your First Visit in Jonesboro, AR
At Southwest Drive Animal Clinic, we strive to provide the best quality service and veterinary care to every patient and client. From the moment you walk through our doors at 605 Southwest Drive, you can expect a warm welcome from our staff in a friendly, professional, and relaxed atmosphere.
Our team is made up of passionate veterinary professionals who treat every patient like a member of their own family. We believe in combining excellent medicine with a compassionate, gentle touch, so your pet feels as comfortable as possible during every visit.
Before Your Appointment
To help your first visit go smoothly, we recommend completing our New Patient Registration Form ahead of time on our
Online Forms page. Please also gather any previous medical and vaccination records for your pet, along with a list of current medications, supplements, and food your pet eats.
For everyone's safety, dogs should arrive on a leash and cats should be brought in a secure carrier.
During Your Pet's Exam
When you arrive, our front desk team will check you in and review your pet's information. Your pet will then be weighed and brought into an exam room, where our team will ask about your pet's history, lifestyle, diet, and any concerns you may have.
Our veterinarian will perform a thorough nose-to-tail physical examination, checking your pet's eyes, ears, teeth, heart, lungs, skin, coat, joints, and abdomen. Based on your pet's age and health, we may recommend vaccinations,
parasite prevention, bloodwork or other
diagnostic testing, or a
dental cleaning.
After the Exam
Before you leave, we will review our findings with you, explain any recommended treatments, and answer your questions in plain language. We will also help you plan your pet's next visit and ongoing preventive care. Payment is due at the time of service — you can review your options on our
Payment Options page.
